Not as funny as I had hoped it would be. 3 stars, because I think it succeeds at what it sets out to do — make a film that is in keeping with the story and spirit of the book — and no more, because I'm not sure it makes such a great movie. I suspect the more familiar you are with the work (I have only read it once) and the more films you've work on (I've only worked on a few) the funnier it is. [ 03.21.06 ]
