I liked about 3/4 of this film. I thought it did a great job of depicting the surreality of being a teenaged girl married into a royal family in a foreign country with highly stylized roles and rituals. It was all going so well, and then suddenly we were presented with a seemingly older Queen, but with no sense of how she had arrived at her sudden maturity. [ 11.17.06 ]
