I keep Patricia Unterman's "Foodlover's Guide to San Francisco" around, even though it's the original, out-of-date edition, because of the seasonality charts in the front. Includes seafood as well as produce, if I recall correctly. The produce items include things I think of as very obscure - specific kinds of tangerines, for instance, and the areas that produce them. I do wonder if the locations still apply a dozen years later, what with all the building recently.
