Tea begins to cloy, after a while. My stomach rebels at too much (alkalinity?).
A local restaurant surprised me with a simple, elegant, and refreshing alternative: take a pitcher of ice water, and dump a small handful (two teaspoons? the amount is variable to personal taste) of mint into it, letting it steep all day while you drink it. Tear or cut the mint if you want more flavor.
I suppose one could extend that to fruits and other herbs, too. A wide range of variations beckons.
