I used to read Cary Tennis regularly when he first started his advice column, but now only check in once every few months. I think Ask Amy and Margo Howard (at Yahoo News) are much much better at giving thorough, thoughtful, and genuinely useful help. Cary Tennis once in a while gives great ideas that really make you think, but I find that over the past couple years he's just kind of rambling on and telling the letter author to figure it out himself--in a way that seems to be not so useful to me. While the column you linked to did give good advice in a thought-provoking manner, such responses of his have been too far and few between these days.
Which makes me wonder: what other advice columns do you read?
Well, I don't read any advice columns regularly. I think this is the first one I've read in over a year.
