I've not yet read any Alan Moore, and this article was helpful.
I've been particularly interested in Moore since reading this great, two part interview with Alan Moore. Among other things, he talks a lot about why he is disassociating himself from his books (and their movie versions) that are now owned by his former publishers rather than himself.
