The New Urbanists and Traditional Neighborhood Design professional communities are grieving. The NUs having been talking on their listserv for two days about how to memorialize their appreciation for her life and work. A public presentation, or maybe somnething to hang on the wall? Laura Hall of Fisher and Hall (a NU planning firm in Santa Rosa) said it best:

"... Jane didn't like or want honors or plaques. We would be honoring her memory best if we all went out on the town and toasted her with a good stiff drink. Oh, and invite a scientist/physicist who understands chaos theory to the next New Urbanism Congress. She would like that."
